A great revision resource and game for any year 6 pupil. Loop cards are normally used in Maths and Literacy but why not try them in Science? Enclosed in this pack are 32 questions which challenge the children's ability at knowing important science definitions. The topics that are covered in this pack are: Forces in Action Changing Circuits Interdependence and Adaptation Irreversible and Reversible Changes How We See Things Once the class or group have completed the loop card activity once, why not time them to see if they can complete the 'loop' in a faster time. Each child could keep the same card or they can be rotated between groups. Alternatively the cards can be cut in half and are great for the matching game 'pairs' TOP TIP - After printing, why not laminate so that you have a resource which can be used over and over again?

This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on complex sentences. In total there are three slides: Slide 1 - Definition of a complex sentence with an example showing the subordinate and main clause. Examples of subordinate conjunctions are also given with explanation. Slide 2 - Five sentences where the children need to add the main clause and five sentences where the children need to add the subordinate clause to a sentence. Slide 3 - Definition of an embedded clause with an example. Five sentences where the children need to add in the embedded clause. This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on conjunctions and how they are used to join and link sentences together. Year 3/4 Great at Grammar - Spring Term Pack - newly updated to meet the demands of the New National Curriculum. We are pleased to announce that this resource has been updated to meet the demands of the new National Curriculum with the objective listed at the top of each activity. With the introduction of the new National Curriculum it is vitally important that grammar is taught throughout the school and is an integral part of the curriculum. This pack comes with 12 weeks of activities with five activities per week. These include activities which are linked to all aspects of the new grammar National Curriculum. At the top of each slide the learning objective from the National Curriculum is shown. There are also activities from the Year 1/2 National Curriculum which will serve as useful revision to the children. Each activity is only designed to take 5 minutes which means these activites are perfect to complete first thing in the morning or straight after lunch. Built up over the term the children will become grammar experts! These activities are aimed at children in years 3/4 and can be completed on paper or in books. Year 3/4 Back 2 Basics Activity Cards - Spring Term Pack. With this termly pack you will receive 12 weeks of activities. The activity cards for the whole term will be available to download on purchase. Back 2 Basics is a carousel of activities aimed at giving children regular practice at the basic skills of reading, writing and number work. Each activity is planned to last approximately 10-15 minutes, and is ideal to be completed first thing in the morning or straight after lunch. The children complete one activity every day so it is best to create 5 groups within your classroom. As the teacher you can then decide which group you work with - for example you may like to work with the reading group. The activities include: Reading Activity (linked to the reading assessment focuses) Number Activity Word or Sentence activity (can be linked to weekly spellings) Times Table Activity Handwriting Activity These cards are best printed and laminated so that they can be used throughout the week and again the following year.
