This is a training manual for Microsoft Word Beginners. It is accompanied by a separate Workbook for students / learners to complete practice exercises on.
Both files come in Word format and PDF format and are full of screen shots to make step by step instructions as visual as possible. Suitable for trainers and teachers either as an Instructional resource or as a digital resource for students to work through themselves.

This resource contains a very graphic filled PowerPoint presentation that makes learning easy as well as an iPad training manual that can be printed or updated as required. It can be used as a self tutorial or as a full lesson workshop style. I used it to train a group of adults that were new to using iPads. They really enjoyed the session and learnt a lot of useful skills. A lesson plan is also included if you intend to deliver workshop style.
This is a step by step training manual that is easy to read and understand. It comes with screen shots and exercises for students to carry out. There are also additional form letters and databases to practice with. I have used this in a two hour workshop.
This resource contains step by step instructions with screen shots to show how to convert a pdf file to a google document, so that it can be edited. Two methods are outlined. Method one converts directly from Drive and Method 2 involves downloading a google conversion app.
The steps are not difficult, but the benefits and time saving of this feature is worthwhile.
Note that this does not enable a perfect conversion. It won't work well with large documents that contain a lot of diagrams, tables, or graphics.

Canva is an excellent, free, design tool that can save us time and money. It makes sense to use this instead of paying for expensive designers.
This step by step guide addresses the problem of not being able to create a transparent background logo in Canva (without paying). When the background is white or doesn’t match your document, it ends up looking unprofessional.
Solution:
The logo is created in Canva.
Once created and saved, we use a separate website to make the white background transparent.
It can then be used for multiple documents with ease and have that professional look to it.

Canva is an excellent, free, design tool that can save you time and money. It makes sense to use this instead of paying for expensive designers. This resource comes in PPT form and a pdf. The PPT is 30 slides.
This training PowerPoint and PDF is a step by step guide to get you started using Canva. A Pinterest pin using Video is created for the purposes of an example, however, the skills learnt can be applied to other promotional documents such as Covers, brochures, posters, instagram posts, twitter posts, etc.
You can use Canva to market your store, and / or use it as a class lesson. Students / learners can create posters, design promotional material on a topic of your choice, etc.

These two forms are useful to make informed decisions about the apps that will be downloaded onto iPad for children's use. A set criteria is used to ensure that the apps will be educational, within budget, relevant and useful. There is such a wide variety of apps to choose from that a process like this should be in place whenever staff wish to recommend and / or suggest apps for early learning centers or primary schools. A QR Code is a two dimensional bar code designed to link paper or signs to the Internet. QR stands for Quick Response. Using a QR reader, you can link to a website, trigger a phone call, go to a blog, an email address and so on.
This is a one page instruction on how to use and view QR codes.
This step by step document takes you through how to insert a YouTube Video into a Word document. This can be useful when you don't want to use a 'link.' It can make your Word document much more interactive.
