In this lesson, students will work towards the objective: calculate the area of parallelograms and triangles. They will be taught how to find the area of right-angled triangles first before moving onto all triangles and then parallelograms. They will see a range of examples on the engaging power point presentation and will complete a range of problems which call them to use their reasoning skills such as finding the missing side. 3 levels of differentiated worksheets are then provided with the answers for students to complete.
