This 5th series of flashcards focuses on the characterisation of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
There are ‘quotes’ to explore cards for Macbeth and Lady Macbeth who are the lead characters of the play. The final card summarises how the other characters interact.
These cards are valuable aids to helping students answer the part of the question where they are asked to relate their analysis of the given quote to other areas of the play
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are central. Act 1 introduces them both very forcefully, and then as the plot develops their characters evolve in opposite directions almost a reversal. The more the student gets to know the play the more obvious this characterisation movement becomes.
The quote is on the left hand side of each card.
Prompts for discussion are on the right hand side of each card.
The set also includes a breakdown of other characters in Macbeth.
Other sets available:
Set 1 – The Supernatural
Set 2 – Tragic Hero
Set 3 – Guilt/Anxiety
Set 4 – Ambition
Set 6 – Plot Development/movement
Look out for Bundles too!
