Fun starter. The students have to name a different ADJECTIVE for each letter of the alphabet. 6 of them have to be 6 letters+. The PowerPoint has a lot of fun images, answers and gifs. The students love this!

This is a unit of work my students really loved. Can be used for ages 13+. This can last 2-3 lessons. This is teaching students how to write a tension -filled piece of work. The lesson looks at examples from the recent James Bond film, ‘No Time to Die’, ‘No Country for Old Men’ and 'Archer. Please view the clips before the lesson to make sure you deem them appropriate. An ‘outstanding’ lesson on the language question (HOW…) in paper 2. This fantastic lesson uses the exam question, ‘How does the writer try to show that Nik Wallenda’s tightrope walk was astonishing and dramatic?’ It’s based on the November 2018 exam which looked at two articles on daredevils tightrope walking across Niagra Falls.
