A fantastic revision tool that the students love. It’s based on Family Fortunes so can used as a class, group or individial activity. I have included a mixture of FS English questions and general knowledge questions. The students love it.
A lesson on writing a magazine article. I have based on the lesson on the importance of positive role models. The lesson focuses on Jameelia Jamil (positive) and Kim Kardashians’s views on weight in the media. It’s a really interesting topic which my students enjoyed. All four video links provided. A fun activity for information retrieval revision. Students must watch/listen to the clip and answer the ten questions based on the song ‘A Mutual Friend’ by The Divine Comedy. Link and answers included. This gives them revision for paying attention and being quick!
An ‘outstanding’ lesson on the language question (HOW…) in paper 2. This lesson uses the exam question, ‘How does the writer of the article try to show that Jameelia Jamil is a positive role model?’ There is a also revision for Q1. Speaking & Listening resources
A fun writing, reading and S&L on photography. The students have to look at famous photography (with all info, dates etc. included) and answer questions on them from a worksheet. There also discussion points on most photos.
They then have to do their photo shoot! They have to take photos in a certain way e.g. reflections, giants & monsters as well as recreate some of the famous photographs.
They then have to write an essay based on both of the tasks. All photos and worksheets included.
The students love this!
