This resource was designed with the new worldviews curriculum in mind. The bundle traces some key events in the life of Jesus. This fourth resource is about The Last Supper, it includes art analysis, the events of the last supper and valuable lessons we can take from it. For homework, expressions of faith using the music of Stormzy.
This is a KS3 resource, year 7s-9. You could also consider discussing the Messiah in more depth, Parables, Holy week, Life after death etc if you want to spread it out for a term. Otherwise this resource set can be completed in a half term if done efficiently. I personally try to cover a lot in KS3 and move through topics quite swiftly but there is also benefits to stretching this material out, to use the HW sheets as in class materials and then offer shorter homework tasks from textbooks etc.
All resources should be supplemented with effective questioning to reap the best results! ‘Tell me more about that?’ ‘Does anyone disagree?’ ‘Why might Jesus have done this?’ etc.
This is a lesson that can support the GCSE Buddhism course or it can be a general lesson to help contextualise the Dalai Lama as a spiritual and political leader.
