Jesus' Temptations

This resource was designed with the new worldviews curriculum in mind. The bundle traces some key events in the life of Jesus. This third resource is about Temptation, what they are, some of the temptations of Jesus, a role play of the 40 days in the desert and the influence this story has on Christians today. The homework is about Messiahs, the lesson is a little shorter so you can introduce the homework in time as it’s a new topic, but it is clear enough students can follow along. Review at the beginning of the following class. This is a KS3 resource, year 7s-9. I have added in an extra short resource if you wish to expand it further to consider Jesus as Messiah. You could also consider discussing the Parables, Holy week, Life after death etc if you want to spread it out for a term. Otherwise this resource set can be completed in a half term if done efficiently. I personally try to cover a lot in KS3 and move through topics quite swiftly but there is also benefits to stretching this material out, to use the HW sheets as in class materials and then offer shorter homework tasks from textbooks etc. All resources should be supplemented with effective questioning to reap the best results! ‘Tell me more about that?’ ‘Does anyone disagree?’ ‘Why might Jesus have done this?’ etc.

Edexcel A-level Politics Voting Behaviour and the Media: WHOLE UNIT OF WORK

Politics resources are few and far between and often of not very high quality. I have got to a place where I feel confident that using my resources I can get fantastic grades and create great and up to date lessons in Politics. This year I started doing Politics teaching consultancy and it made me aware of how difficult a lot of teachers are finding it to build appropriately challenging, in depth and up to date resources. Now I am making some available. FREE single sample lesson on Additional Member System from the Elections unit provided for you to get a sense of what you are buying. This resource can only be bought as a bundle as it contains a whole unit of work for the topic of UK Politics: Voting Behaviours and the Media. Each lesson reflects and builds upon the next. Alongside resources that I have made, the range of Edexcel Politics textbooks, can support this content alongside a subscription to PreChewed Politics but they are not necessary to make use of the resources. If there are answers in the slide notes to questions that you do not know the answers to, you can produce quick answers by plugging in the questions into ChatGPT but if you follow the lessons in order you should find that the circular nature of the resources means that you are always building on previous knowledge. These resources are four years in the making, they offer both a great combination of knowledge and skills development and can be altered and adapted as they come in the form of Microsoft/Google friendly documents. I get fantastic results and happy classrooms so I hope you do to. This contains eleven 1hr lessons (32 files) that match up to the specification Social class and voting behaviour Long term factors affecting voting behaviour Short term factors affecting voting behaviour pt 1 Short term factors affecting voting behaviour pt 2 1979 case study 1997 case study 2019 case study Types of media and opinion polls Media and electoral outcomes Media debates It also includes relevant class resources, homework suggestions and a final assessment.
