This bundle contains 4 lessons of essential topics for energy for key stage 3 and 4 pupils. They are GCSE materials. Powerpoints and worksheets are ready to be used or you can edit them easily.
Enjoy!
Here’s a booklet of multiple choice circular motion questions from past exam papers. I’ve also attached the answers.
I’ve also linked to a youtube video that explains the forces involved in vertical circular motion. It talks about forces to do with centripetal force. Hope you enjoy it and feedback is welcome! Please do subscribe to my channel VTphysics if you’ve found it entertaining!
Here’s some exam style questions for the life cycle of stars with answers.
I’ve also linked to a video I made explaining the life cycle of stars. Hope you find it useful! And if you do, be sure to subscribe to VTphysics!
Enjoy!
L.O. To use the rock cycle to explain how the material in rocks is recycled.
Perfect for key stage 3.
The slides include theory and interactive exercises for the students.
Topic: Standard form, significant figure, rounding
Level: GCSE, key stage 4
I am following the AQA science (physics) syllabus but this resource is suitable for anyone teaching KS3 or KS4 science (specifically physics). I will use this lesson to teach a class of year 9, beginning their GCSE course.
Resources:
1. Powerpoint slides: powerpoint slides, compatible with a worksheet/handout. Slides contain information and tasks for pupils.
2. Notes (editable documents) for pupils: Use this as worksheet or handout. Pupils can take notes during lesson or complete tasks in this editable document.
Hope this resource is helpful for you. Please do let me know if there's any suggestions for improvement. I aim to upload more lessons following this topic.
Enjoy!
Topic: Energy / Energy stores / Types of energy
Level: GCSE, key stage 4
I am following the AQA science (physics) syllabus but this resource is suitable for anyone teaching KS4 physics on Energy Stores ( or previously known as Different Types of Energy).
Resources:
1. Powerpoint slides: 18 slides with clickable items for navigation. Answers to questions in slides reveal upon clicking. I have written “Presenter’s notes” under some slides, mostly about extension ideas and some simple notes on the theory.
2. Notes for pupils: Use this 3 page document as worksheets or handouts. Pupils can take notes during lesson or complete tasks in this editable document. Also, it includes 1 exam style question.
3. Printout: A list of descriptions (clues) for pupils to read and guess which energy store the description is referring to. (This can be cut out and put in a hat for pupils to pick out.) This makes Task 1 in the powerpoint interactive.
Hope this resource is helpful for you. Please do let me know if there’s any suggestions for improvement. I aim to upload all my lessons on “Energy and Energy Resources” so that you can have a complete set of lessons for this unit.
Be sure to check out this bundle I’ve uploaded for the unit of Energy (107 Slides for £8 only!):

Here’s a worksheet/handout I give to my physics class when teaching magnetic fields. I’ve also provided a link to a video I created to show how to carry out the experiment for plotting the magnetic field lines around a bar magnet.
Enjoy!
Here’s a worksheet (and solutions) I’ve used with my 6th form physicists. I’ve also created a video to go along with this. Hopefully, it’ll help you with online teaching!
Here’s another set of circular motion multiple choice questions with answers included.
I’ve also included a video that I created to correct misconceptions about circular motion (angular velocity and tangential speed) that some of my students had. Hope you find it useful, and be sure to subscribe to VTphysics if you like the video!
I’ve included a few exam style questions on harmonics and stationary waves on a string. Answers are also included.
I’ve also included the link to a video I made to explain stationary waves on a string and the calculation of frequencies (harmonics). Hope you enjoy it and, if you do, feel free to subscribe to VTphysics!
Enjoy!
I’ve attached a worksheet of past exam questions on Rutherford’s alpha scattering experiment. Mark scheme is also included.
I also made a video illustrating Rutherford’s alpha scattering experiment. Feel free to check it out and subscribe to VTphysics if you’ve found it useful!
Enjoy!
Here’s a quick video to illustrate pressure difference. If you like this video, be sure to subscribe to VTphysics for more physics videos!
I’ve also included a short powerpoint presentation and a couple worksheets testing students’ knowledge of pressure difference calculation.
pressure difference = density x g x height
Here are a few worksheets covering the theory of density and instruction for the core practical, finding density of irregular objects using eureka can.
I’ve created and run an escape room experience based on science/physics at my school. Check it out here, a step-by-step guide: https://vtphysics.wixsite.com/vtphysics
If you want the files to recreate this escape room, do drop me a message and I’ll send you the pdf and image files!
Enjoy!
