One is colour-coded, the other is a student copy of the step-by-step guide two sample essays, both level 5 a 7-page student-friendly document explaining 20 key theories and concepts (from the creole continuum to language death) with links to further resources. The pack refers to 2 exams (Jan 2019 and June 2022), which are not included due to copyright, but can be easily accessed online. The files are attached as Word/Powerpoint and PDFs.

I designed this resource for my group of keen students. It took about 4 lessons to complete. They really enjoyed the task on Childish Gambino!

Featuring a transcript of the children’s TV show Teletubbies, this resource helps prepare students for Section A of Unit 4 of the IAL Pearson English Language exam to be sat in June 2023. Following the pre-release materials, the transcript allows students to analyse the strategies and language features used by children’s TV to aid child language development. There is contextual information, a transcript from the episode ‘Green,’ and notes on the strategies and language features, organised under linguistic levels and frameworks.
