The challenge is...Can you colour this page in and make sure you NEVER have the same 2 colours next to each other? Of course they can, but it does require some thought and take some time to complete :) You can also just let your class colour in any way they want to for a super abstract piece of art.
Suitable for ages 4 - 104 so why not get your pencils out and have a colour yourself? Blow the page up to A3 for an even longer lesson!

Full Resource Description and Concept...
This book has been designed to stimulate a wealth of creative thought processes in children of all ages and key stages, whilst also being engaging and highly enjoyable to complete. Designed in the style of our calming mindfulness colouring books but with influences from the "anti-colouring" books also.
Contains 41 thought-provoking activities and fun artistic challenges that progressively get more creatively challenging as the book progresses, plus a bonus challenge that is not available in the physical book (which is available from Amazon) plus Teachers' notes and a children's introduction that is full of creativity enhancing ideas.
Uses include: for a golden time group, wet play or lunch activities, after school clubs, SEN interventions, gifted and talented pupils (as the creative potential is open ended), starters, art lessons, time filling, explicit creativity enhancing lessons (think Edward de Bono) or just incredibly useful to have "up your sleeve" as a highly educational set of printable activities that requires deeper thinking than "just" colouring in.

After an engaging multimedia teaching input, they will explain their understanding of the objective and go on to draw comparisons with how we communicate in the 21st Century.
This is then followed by an activity that enables the children to design their own logograms/hieroglyphics in a Mayan style.
Complete 1hr lesson (could run to 90 mins) including...
- PowerPoint: starter activity, teaching input (with web resource and video links) and a plenary activity.
- Worksheet pack with two worksheets plus extension activity for any early finishers.
- Teachers' notes.
YouTube links are provided for videos but a website is provided for a video converter if your school doesn't have access.

These 10 worksheets all have short stories (c.100 words each) with the full stops missing. Designed for repeated practice to help children who find it hard to accurately add full stops to their writing, whatever age or key stage whilst also improving reading comprehension skills and the ability to check their work for errors.
Stories contain full colour images and are designed to be interesting to children and spark discussion regarding where a full stop goes and how the end of a sentence is identified.
Extension would be to check, peer assess and add capital letters or to continue the story with accurate sentence boundary demarcation. All images sourced from openclipart.com
This beautiful lesson uses cute cartoon 'monsters' to engage children and teach them about what exactly makes a good friend and what behaviours friends don't like. Children will also develop: their awareness of how their actions affect others, their social and empathy skills and become more self-aware of their choices and the consequences that follow. This is all packaged in a fun and non-threatening way allowing children to be more receptive to the learning. Circle time or Q&A questions are included along with a suggested plenary activity. Designed for KS2 but suitable for KS1 as long as they can read and write.
WAS *£4.99 Lesson pack NOW £1 - Read the reviews
If you are interested in something that is a different yet meaningful cross-curricula learning experience with elements of: wonder, awe, descriptive writing, poetry, philosophy, science, nature, geography, team work, art, appreciation of nature and so much more, then this is for you.
This lesson is called the magical lesson of wonder because that is the desired outcome. A cynic may think that this is just observing nature through microscopes but it is so much more than that in part due to the fascinating web resource used for the lesson and the inspirational writing that is produced by all the children who participate.
Suitable for any age or KS (but designed for KS2 or KS1) as the element of wonder and magic is something that never tires.
You will need microscopes or magnifying glass (USB microscopes ideally) and access to objects from nature or a selection you provide.
Other teachers have used this for their performance management observations and got outstanding too - just read the reviews! This is a hidden gem of TES that is beyond conventional categorisation - so why not treat your class to it today?
Turn down the lights, roll down the blinds, play the music and begin the magical lesson of wonder.
Engaging, fun and challenging complete SPaG lesson that teaches how to add possessive apostrophes to singular nouns. For example: the girl's name.
Children learn about apostrophes and the different ways of adding apostrophes to show possession. They then work through 4 activities designed to develop their understanding using different skills. They identify, create and explain, with the more able going on to a challenging extension activity.
There is also a fun activity in there too that your class will love. Self/peer-assessment plenary is also included to really help cement the learning in their minds and potentially make marking easier for you too.
Aimed at KS1, but can be used for KS2 and SEN or EAL children. Teachers' notes and answers included plus simplified activity sheet for further differentiation.
