This resource is designed to consolidate pupil’s understanding of number structures and addition. It works well for pupils who are ready to make the connection between visual and abstract counting.
Pupils read the sum, choose two doodles to show/make the sum, and then solve the sum.
Can be used as an independent task or as part of wider rotation

This resource is designed to introduce pupils to the concept of addition, specifically adding one more to a group and counting the total. Answers are within the range of 0 -10.
Instructions: Pupils count the mushrooms then draw one more mushroom in the box. They then count how many mushrooms altogether and write their answer on the line in the circle.
