Save the NHS! This lesson is a revision lesson which prepares students for the Official OCR Sample Paper. There are 17 challenges that students have to undertake in order to stop a new version of the 'Wannacry' ransomware from spreading. Each challenge gives students a series of keys which eventually unlocks the kill switch in order to stop the virus from spreading further. This lesson was recently graded as 'Outstanding' from SLT. The lesson contains starters, exam technique, differentiated objectives, group work, differentiated questions and an automated way of checking progress (edulastic). There are 51 multiple choice differentiated challenges along with 3 exam style questions with mark schemes. These are all self made so can't be found anywhere else.

Students learn how to program classic arcade games such as pac man and space invaders. Put your BBC Microbits to use and get students using them as a game pads in order to create a 'Kodu of Duty' game! The pre-built worlds which include student versions and teacher exemplars are an excellent way for you to get your students to dive straight into the coding. We all know how long students can spend on making their worlds so this is a great way to get straight to the things that matter! Tried and tested this year (2017) with over 500 students, this unit was a big hit and really helped increase our numbers at KS4.

The slides also have a section where you can demonstrate how to make a jam sandwich in order to get across the point that instructions have to be very precise. This is usually a 'wow' moment of the lesson as it's your turn to act stupid! The lesson is differentiated with learning objectives, differentiated questions, starters and key words.
