Coasts Revision Dominoes
A GCSE Geography revision activity on the topic of coastal environments. The dominoes can be used in pairs/ groups to allow students to work together to form the chain of key terms and definitions. Alternatively, the cards can be distributed throughout the class and students can take it in turns to read out their cards and the next student must identify their key term, stand up and read it out.
The Football War
A KS3 Geography lesson from a year 9 war and conflicts SoW. The lesson introduces
students to the 4 day war that was sparked by a world cup qualifier between El Salvador and Honduras. This lesson was created to capture the interest of a challenging boy-heavy class. The main tasks include map work, a timeline card sort activity and a discussion of how responsible football was in causing the war. Fully resourced.

Sixth lesson in The Living World section of the NEW AQA GCSE Geography course. The lesson covers the causes of deforestation in Malaysia. Students are required to locate Malaysia in the world, create a mind map of the causes and design a riddle to help them remember the causes. Homework task included on Palm Oil. Fully resourced.
Year 6 Geography Taster Session
This is a one hour lesson taught as a 'taster' for Geography during year 6 transition week in Secondary school. It was taught to a large, mixed ability class of year 6 students to inspire an interest in Geography. The lesson focus is on animal adaptations, looking at the reason for adaptation and examples of it. The tasks are very collaborative including a 'draw what you hear' paired activity and an animal design activity. Fully resourced.
Living Conditions in Dharavi Slum India
A KS3 Geography lesson exploring living conditions in the Dharavi slum, India as part of an Investigating India SoW. Students complete a senses board and group labelling activity to explore the characteristics of housing in Dharavi. They the work in groups to create a labelled model of a Dharavi house with Play-Doh. Challenge tasks for more able and writing frames for SEN students. Fully resourced.

Secondary Geography Taster Session
These resources were used as part of a carousel activity during a Summer School event for year 7 students before they joined high school. The students were split into groups and spent 20 minutes on each of the tasks that covered different aspects of Geography. Activities include:
1. Making a jigsaw of Pangaea
2. Designing earthquake proof buildings
3. Designing a 7* Dubai hotel
4. Designing traditional African masks
5. Creating a shoe box that could be sent to Syrian child refugees
All activities were enjoyed by students and encouraged them to work as part of a team while promoting enthusiasm for Geography.
AQA New GCSE Cold Environments work booklet
This booklet covers the entire sub-unit of Cold Environments for the new AQA Geography GCSE. It was created to help save some time and get through the content quickly. It is split into 5 lessons that cover all of the content from the specification:

There is an accompanying PowerPoint with extra challenge tasks, links to video clips and answers to many of the tasks. Should take no more than 5 hours to cover this section as large amounts of information have been supplied to reduce wasted time taking notes in class. Practice examination questions have been included throughout. No need for any other materials to deliver this sub-unit.
