A short knowledge test that covers lessons 6 - 14 of the new AQA Geography A Level (Coastal systems and landscapes unit). The main themes in the test are types of weathering, erosion and mass movement, erosional and depositional landforms.
Coasts Revision Dominoes
A GCSE Geography revision activity on the topic of coastal environments. The dominoes can be used in pairs/ groups to allow students to work together to form the chain of key terms and definitions. Alternatively, the cards can be distributed throughout the class and students can take it in turns to read out their cards and the next student must identify their key term, stand up and read it out.
AQA A Level Geography Coasts Command Word Practice
A command word activity incorporated into the Coasts unit of the new AQA Geography A Level. Students consider a range of questions about a sea stack. They first consider what the command word requires them to do and then brainstorm information that they would include in their answer. This activity is useful for revising coasts content and command words before an assessment.

Comparing the impacts of the Haiti and Christchurch earthquakes
A lesson originally taught to year 10 GCSE Geography students (for AQA). It introduces the two earthquakes and allows students to see how levels of development affect the scale of the damage. A KS3 Geography lesson exploring living conditions in the Dharavi slum, India as part of an Investigating India SoW. Students complete a senses board and group labelling activity to explore the characteristics of housing in Dharavi. They the work in groups to create a labelled model of a Dharavi house with Play-Doh. Challenge tasks for more able and writing frames for SEN students. Fully resourced.

The lesson was observed by colleagues with a focus on methods of differentiation and so the lesson contains activities that stretch the most able and scaffolding that supports lower ability students.
