This is a scheme of work consisting of 24 lessons based around teaching the entire ‘A Christmas Carol’ novel to the new AQA exam specification, including an 187 page PowerPoint presentation with very detailed lessons and all resources and worksheets included.

A double (2x 50 minute) lesson on Kamikaze based around the new AQA specification poetry cluster: Power and Conflict. The lesson was rated outstanding. It is aimed a top set year 10/11 class but could be differentiated down easily. It focuses on challenge for higher ability. It aims to teach the poem in its entirety and sets students up for completed an extended response at the end of the lesson. It also contains a model answer in response to an exam style question.

A 6 week scheme of work including 3 4-part lessons per week, aimed at KS3. This scheme could be suitable for all abilities with slight differentiation. Scheme includes a range of engaging activities, regular quizzes to test knowledge, practice extended response lessons with feedback and an assessment lesson. Detailed feedback sheets are also included. The scheme uses page numbers based on the Penguin 1993 edition of the novel but is easily adaptable to other editions. All worksheets are included along with a 144 slide presentation.

This is a whole scheme of work for the new AQA specification exam paper on Macbeth. It consists of a powerpoint which has 236 slides with complete lessons on. All resources are also included for these lessons such as worksheets, practice exam papers and model answers.

This is a full scheme of work on Blood Brothers, teaching towards the new AQA specification. It includes an 151 slide PowerPoint presentation, with fifteen detailed lessons teaching the entire play. All resources are also included. This scheme was aimed at a top set year 10 group, however could be easily adapted to suit lower and middle abilities.

A thirty lesson scheme which teaches the entire Of Mice and Men novel, with a focus on the new AQA specification. Although this text is no longer an exam text, this is a useful scheme to teach to key stage three, particularly year nine to develop skills needed in years ten and eleven.

A 20/30 minute SNAP revision session on Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ to prepare students for their GCSE exam. The powerpoint covers: Starter: gap fill for key contextual information, Initiate: a timeline outlining the plot through key quotations Activate: ‘Juicy’ quotations to analyse to push into the higher levels of the mark scheme Plenary: some thought provoking questions to discuss with people near to them to push their ideas and analysis further. This would be ideal as a quick revision session the day before the exam/mock exams or on the morning of. Included is also a worksheet that students can use throughout the lesson.
