A differentiated lesson that fits into a scheme of work considering the Edexcel module the Norman Conquest focusing on the changes in land ownership Task 1: Read through the information on slide 1 about the changes put in place by William in terms of who owned land in Norman England. Once you have read through this information please look at the maps on slide 3. These maps show the difference between what land holding had been like in Anglo-Saxon England and how different it now was under Norman rule. Please see below the options for this task considering the maps on slide 3. You will need to answer the questions about each map on the document titled differences in land holding either option 1 or option 2 Task 2: Read through the information on slides 4 and 5 about why William felt he needed to take land away from the Anglo-Saxons. Once you have read through this, using the textbook pages attached complete the spider diagram about the different ways the Anglo-Saxons lost their land. The document you will need to complete this task is titled ‘How did the Anglo-Saxons lose their land’ and then either option 1, 2, 3 as seen below Task 3: Once you have completed this spider diagram please answer the questions on slide 5 on the document titled ‘question slide 5’ and your option as suggested below:
