This product is an Anti-Bullying Contract that teachers can use in the classroom to discuss bullying, reduce bullying, and encourage students to behave appropriately in class. This resource includes blank spaces for students names and signatures. It is customizable so that teachers may add the classroom name or the name of the school. The resources could also be customized to include the signature of a parent. This is a good resource to use if bullying is a problem in your school because it can be utilized to hold students responsible for their actions.

This resource tasks students with researching various interest groups that influence the United States government with power and financial contributions. The purpose of the activity is to demonstrate how interest groups function and what role they play in government. This activity is a great activity in a U.S. History or U.S. Government course and can be used at the beginning, middle, or end of a unit. In this activity, students will research various interest groups and find information related to mission statements, news stories, and purpose. Many interest groups are already listed but the document can be easily modified to include others that may have been discussed in class. This product includes a graphic organizer (found in the previews) in which students are responsible for researching a current events article or topic. This activity is designed to be completed in groups of 3-5. Instructions for grouping is included with the graphic organizer (activity). In groups, students are assigned roles for completing the activity. The roles are: *Computer Operator *- A group member should be assigned to acquire and set up the computer for the group to use. This person will be the primary computer user but the computer may have to be passed to other students within the group for them to complete their roles. Scribe - This person will be responsible for completing the handout. This handout can be completed online (scribe will become the typist) or these handouts can be printed for each group. Artist - The artist is responsible for creating an artistic representation of the article that was researched. Researcher - The researcher will be the primary person responsible for finding an article that is appropriate for the assignment. This person may also be in charge of searching for other pertinent information. Speaker - The speaker will share what the group found to the entire class. How this is done is up to the teacher. Student groups will complete the graphic organizer according to their specific jobs and roles. This resource allows for teacher changes based on use and preference.
