I started creating these set of resources based on up-to-date, real and truthful sources after finding that most information presented in the books that are available is obsolete. I hope you find them useful.

Reading comprehension based on a letter where a town is described. I use it not only to provide the students with a model, but also to introduce informal letter writing. It works with KS3, KS4 and IB Ab Initio students.
These worksheets will help the students consolidate their vocabulary for food, quantities and containers and expressions to use when shopping for food. It works with Y9, KS4 and IB Ab Initio.
One of the most popular current songs among Spanish teens, great for the preterite tense. It includes a good few pre-listening activities to make sure the students make the most out of it semantically, syntactically and grammatically. I hope your students enjoy it too!
A simple text that can be used to introduce the vocabulary to a high ability group, homework or a class exercise with any group in KS3 and KS4 low ability.
I have created this speaking/ writing mat based on module 9 in the Edexcel GCSE Spanish text book. My students have used it to create sentences to answer to the following questions:
¿Cuáles dirías que son los problemas medioambientales más importantes en tu ciudad y por qué?
¿Qué piensas que deberíamos hacer para proteger el medio ambiente?
I used this video with my Y8 class in order to practise the immediate future. After a quick review on the tense (on the sheet), we had a competition to find the meaning of the verbs in the box. Then I played the video and stopped it in the timings specified in the worksheet so they could guess the answers to the questions. I only allowed them to use the verbs in the box or the ones they knew, but no more dictionary here. They were very creative and came up with lots of different ideas and they also enjoyed the film.
I did not quite realise how many of my students do enjoy listening to Spanish songs for the sake of learning Spanish! So I decided to do some guided work on a trendy little feel-good song to cheer them up after what has been a very challenging term. I hope it may be of use for someone else.
It includes group discussion and work, video and questions, speaking exercise, and lots of sample sentences. the cards on slides seven, eight and eleven need to be printed.
Up-to-date set of resources for the students to explore and learn about the current situation of immigration in Spain. The exercises cover all four linguistic skills with individual as well as pair/ group work.
Pair work: Listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises to be completed in pairs (or individually if you prefer) based around the fact that the Spanish who emigrated due to the recession started coming back in 2018.
A reading comprehension exercise based on the situation of immigration in Spain in 2019 with a graph, an article sourced from ABC newspaper and exercises (one speaking, two reading).
Listening activity which actually reflects the real situation nowadays in Spain (2018-2019). Students watch a video (whole class or individually) and answer the questions (multiple choice, short answer, etc.) This activity is ideally followed by the reading comprehension activity that goes with it (uploaded separately). I use it to introduce the topic.
