Particles and Matter GCSE AQA - interactive eBook independent study

Updated 19 Feb with a new extra edition indicating the AQA 2022 exam topics This is a great revision lesson (and relaxing for the teacher). Each student in your class will answer around 100 differentiated questions with help and feedback covering the whole topic. The emphasis is on student independence. The differentiation should work well from GCSE foundation tier revision to A level recap. Students use this pdf file on iPads/ tablets/ phone/ laptops. Email the file to your class and use Adobe Acrobat Reader on “single page view” to optimise the view. I’d recommend asking students to submit notes they make on key points and record any rewards they receive for completing sections. You could track student progress from the reward pictures they get. Aerogel - tricky density Mercury - medium density Neutron star - easy density Human density - density required practical LHC - tricky SHC ISS - medium SHC Furnace Creek - easy SHC Outer space - triangle SHC Tungsten - tricky SHC practical Lithium - medium SHC practical Liquid nitrogen - change of state 1 Thames - tricky SLH -40°C tea - medium SLH Snowflake - easy SLH License to Kill - gases SCUBA - quiz Other eBooks; GCSE Electricity GCSE Radioactivity GCSE Energy Naked Eye Astronomy A level Adding Resistors A level Young Modulus A level Moments of Inertia A level Pressure-Volume graphs bennyjohn5@hotmail.com

A very carefully differentiated lesson on covalent bonding. Starts with a quiz and worked examples. The main task involves students creating molecules and drawing them showing the outer electrons. There are eleven differentiated molecules and answers are included for peer assessment. My class had sufficient molymod molecule kits to work individually.

Warm The Brain: Fun Logical Problem Solving Starters

Six splendid puzzles to display on your interactive whiteboard. These make great lesson starters and are an essential part of a teacher's toolkit. You probably already know the River Crossing puzzle. The puzzles are animated to make them very attention grabbing. No printing is needed; all the puzzles should be solvable without the need to write anything down. Very engaging and fun.
