Learners compete to get 4 counters across the board by answering simple percentage of amounts. Questions can be done in head or on paper, no need for calculator. Learners split into two teams red and green. Each team tries to get 4 red or green circles, horizontally or diagonally across the screen by answering percentage of amount questions. One member of a team chooses a celebrity, a question will appear. If answered correctly the box will change to that teams colour. If wrong then the other team get a chance to answer The team first to four in a row win. Make the game harder by setting a time limit for each answer using an online timer.

Twelve exam style questions that are great for Revision before exam includes popular exam topics such as tree diagrams, scatter graphs, percentages, scale maps and drawings, formula, barcharts and averages and range. I focused on areas identified in examiner reports as being weak. I have included instructions off how to run the revision relay. I have used it as a traditional quiz with answers displayed on screen and learners marking each others work. I have also used it as a revision race, with each question being printed on separate sheets (or a few on A3 paper) and learners only getting next question when their answer is checked and correct. A Maths casino game which I have found to be a fun way of engaging students in revision lessons. The students look forward to these lessons and see them as a fun lesson . They are a great way of getting students to learn and work together. This activity is aimed at GCSE Foundation and Functional Skills Maths Level 2. It includes questions on area, perimeter of rectangles, triangles, compound shapes and circle as well as the volume of cuboids and cylinders. Answers are included on the slides. Instructions: Print off some money, I have included £5, £10 and £20 notes for printing. Arrange students in groups and give each group £100 Students bet between £5-20 on each topic (before seeing the question) I write the students team names on whiteboard and then get them to stick their money bets on the whiteboard with bluetac or to write up their bets Learners will double their money with a correct answer or lose it for a wrong answer.
