French Greetings & Introductions Role Play Cards
This resource can be used to encourage children to practise their french greetings and introductions. Each child is given a card with a character. There are a number of games you can play with these cards e.g. FInd your pair, find someone the same age, find someone who lives in the same country or other characters born in the same month.

Literacy Starters
This literacy starter resource contains 20 different starter activities. It provides a range of starters across a variety of literacy genres. It has tasks related to spelling, grammar, writing and listening & talking. The starter aims to revise and consolidate common issues which revise in literacy for learner in KS2. It looks at issues such as homophones, proof reading, direct speech and many other areas. All activities are short and can be completed on whiteboards. Many starters also contain a challenge task for more able learners.

Weight - Grams and Kilograms
This resources looks at converting grams and kilograms. It starts off by giving visual representation of what a gram and kilogram is to help learners. It then explains the process of converting grams and kilograms by multiplying or dividing by 1000. Then it gives different conversion explains using decimal notation. The resource uses a place value grid to model this clearly for learners.
The resource then finishes with 10 example questions to assess learner understanding.

This resource revises what instructional writing is and the different kind of instructions we can get. It then goes on to model the layout and key features of an instructional text.
The resource models a text on how to make fairy cakes, however this could be used as an example and changed.

Chinese New Year and the Chinese Zodiac 2024
This powerpoint goes over the key teaching points about Chinese New Year and the different traditions involved in it.
It then explains the Chinese Zodiac and allows the children to see which animal they are. It then goes on to explain the characteristics of someone from the Year of the Dragon.
At the end there are examples of different tasks the learners could complete. These could set or learners could be allowed to choose. You could also complete these as a series of rotational stations.
Simplifying Fractions
This resource breaks down simplifying fractions by firstly revising a key concept for learners which is factors and identifying the GCF. This skill is essential for them to understand how to simplify.
It then progresses to showing learners how to simplify by listing factors and identifying GCF. Finally it condenses it into just simpliying.
There is a short formative assessment activity differentiated across three levels. These have 8 questions each and learners can choose the level they wish to attempt.

This is setting focused writing lesson is a popular and engaging lesson for learners. The lesson provides an engaging story starter prompt which learners can use or come up with their own. The focus of the lesson is what the character ‘Mia’ sees through the keyhole. Learners may choose to keep this character or will adapt with their own ideas. The lesson can be solely focused on describing what is seen through the keyhole or more confident writers may wish to continue the narrative with the character stepping through the door.

Converting 12 and 24 hour time
This resource works best with an interactive whiteboard that learners can write on. It can also be adapted for use on Seesaw or other online platforms.
This resource begins with a time conversions starter quiz on units of time.
It then begins by explaining the key differences between 12 and 24 hour time.
It then provides digital clocks for learners to practise converting between the two different formats.
It has ten practice questions for learners to try independently.
Finally, it progress to using analogue and digital clocks and writing times in both 12 and 24 hour format. This challenges learners and provides good assessment of which areas of time learners find challenging.
A template for these slides is available which can be printed for learners to write on directly either with pencil or work well with smart pals or wallets.
Health & Wellbeing: Zones of Emotional Regulations
This PDF resource explains the zones of regulation to learners.
It explains each zone and allows learners to consider how they feel in each zone.
It then progresses to explaining ways learners can help themselves in each zone.
Finally it contains a zones of regulations wheel where pupils right down how THEY feel in each zone (inside circle - six emotions for each zone) then in the outside zone they must right ways that help them.
This is a great visual resource to support learners when managing their emotions.
