An easy French listening comprehension exercise for talking about weekend activities and giving basic positive and negative opinions and justifications. Audio included.

Some basic flashcards that you can use for call and response style activities to model pronunciation. You can then go back every few slides to test recall of previous slides as the text will only appear when you click. You can then go through the blank ones and do ‘THIS OR THAT’ - give TWO options in French for the image, one correct and one incorrect - pupils have to repeat back the correct one. Then, there is a section on present participle phrases. You can create sentences using the vocab students have learned and adding a short present participle phrase - students can translate these on mini whiteboards / do them as dictation.

A quick multiple-choice exercise to encourage students to notice adjective endings to find the correct agreement. When correcting answers, you can then go through the different options and get students to discuss in pairs the rule / why it’s that option.
