A series of lessons looking at climate change and global warming. Lesson 1: Causes- what global warming is, what greenhouse gases are, are humans the cause, deforestation and fossil fuels. Lesson 2: Effects- data about climate change, sea level rise, ocean acidification, warming oceans, shrinking ice sheets, extreme weather events, effects on health and a graph drawing exercise. Lesson 3: Solutions- what can governments do, the Paris agreement, what businesses can do and renewable energy. Lesson 4: Solutions- what individuals can do to combat climate change. There are lots of exercises and information included in each lesson and it could easily be condensed down into fewer lessons by excluding some tasks. Likewise some of the tasks could be stretched out across several lesson depending upon the time you have. All worksheets/resources needed are within the PowerPoint as hidden slides.

Science exam technique lesson focusing on recognising command words and how to answer 6 mark questions. Some tasks are generic and some have specific questions to the Edexcel combined science CP6 Radioactivity topic (was done alongside DIRT for the end of unit test)- but could easily be adapted for another topic or just done as is as revision.

Series of lessons looking at ‘The Plastic Problem’. Lesson 1- looking at what plastic is, the different types of plastic and how to identify plastic objects. Lesson 2- looking at what the issues with using plastics are, plastic in the ocean and how long items take to decompose. Lesson 3- graph drawing lesson with different sets of data (differentiated by level). Lesson 4- science in the news lesson looking at different articles to do with the plastic project and analysing/summarising them. Lesson 5- looking at the solutions for the plastic problem (the four R’s).

A series of 50 practicals for use within a science club. Includes a range of activities that link to biology, chemistry and physics topics. Each practical has a method sheet (including equipment list and scientific explanation) and an extension worksheet with questions for students to complete around the topic.

NEW ROUNDS ADDED FOR 2021! Christmas Quiz for use within Science lessons towards the end of term. There are 21 Quiz rounds to choose from (I usually have the folder open on the board and let one team at a time choose which round we do). There is a combination of science specific rounds, loosely based science rounds and nothing to do with science rounds.

CC8f lesson from the Edexcel combined science GCSE (9-1) all about reactions of acids with metals and carbonates. The lesson includes metals reacting with acids, ionic and half equations for these reactions, acids reacting with metal carbonates and how to test for the gases produced.
