Differentiated using the GCSE mark scheme. Lesson involves students gathering information about the theatre and then writing from the perspective of someone at the theatre (choice based on ability.) Challenge task to include some archaic language.

AQA Language Paper 1. 2 lesson on questions 2 and 3 on this paper using the text ‘1984.’ Differentiated and planned using the GCSE mark scheme.

4 lesson starters on 4 aspects of SPAG. These can be used as a starter or a tutor activity to teach or refresh students knowledge of various aspects of SPAG. Dashes/colons/semi-colons and speech marks.

5 homework sheets aimed at helping students develop their skills in planning an answer for Language Paper 1 Question 5. Each sheet asks students to plan a list of powerful vocabulary (challenge to find synonyms to improve their vocab choices), a list of language devices and a list of the senses.
