There are 2 types of assessment in this resource. The first one is a list of the year 1 common exception words. When using this type of assessment I usually print one off for each child and highlight in one colour all of the words that they can read at the start of the year. I then assess again and use a different coloured highlighter to show progress. The second resource is a copy of the sight words with the option to record the date when a student can read them.
