There are 6 different word searches with all of the year 2 common exception words. Each word search has 10 or 11 words for the children to find. My class enjoyed finding the words and was good as a early finisher activity.

I also used the twinkl assessments for pre and post assessment last year however would recommend the Good Stuff primary pre and post assessment tests instead to give a clearer picture of progression throughout the unit.

I made a booklet to help the children plan a trip to the beach but it can be changed to fit other trips. The children need to collect data about things that the class could do on the trip and record it in a tally chart and block graph.
