A board game that is made up of two A3 sheets, that helps students revise key quotations from the play! Print this board on two sheets of A3 paper and teams can move around the board and annotate key quotations or do the fun challenges! If one team lands on a square that has already been annotated, they have to add more analysis. Use a coin as a dice: heads = move one square, tails = two squares. A fun and different revision activity.

A double-sided sheet with short summaries of 26 CLA theories on one side, and language features listed under the linguistic methods on the other side. My students have found this to be a helpful revision tool. They can research each theory in more depth, tick off the ones they have revised and use the grid to help them write example essay plans. There are a range of theories from the more well-known to modern, lesser-known theories. The back of the sheet can also be used as a checklist to ensure practise essays cover a range of the language methods and to revise key terminology.

Students match 10 essay topics to the contextual links on the other side of the sheet. I have found this really helps students to understand how to write about context in an academic style.
