I am a teacher of 12 years and have taught across primary and secondary level. I taught GCSE Psychology for a while in the UK so have lots of Psychology resources/ lessons. I've recently become a Resource Teacher for Learning and Behaviour in New Zealand so I will begin adding resources for SEN children/teachers.

This is the fiifth of six psychology lessons for the AQA GCSE NEW Psychology Syllabus for the topic Psychological Problems. This covers an inroduction to addiction and theories of addiction- along with the named study by Kaij It will also be available as a whole topic. I am an online teacher of GCSE Psychology and these are the lessons I personally use for my students. We follow the AQA Illuminate Psychology textbook so these lessons follow with the textbook. Brain and Neuropsychology Unit for the New Spec AQA GCSE Psycholog Unit includes 6x Powerpoints, one for each lesson. Each powerpoint has a ‘golden link’, ‘starter question’, class discussions, youtube links and information relating to each topic and a homework task/question with textbook readings. Lesson 1: Structure and Function of the Nervous System Lesson 2: The Fight and Flight Response and James Lange’s Theory Lesson 3: Neurons and Synapses and Hebb’s Theory Lesson 4: Structure and Function of the Brain and Tulving’s Gold Study (Named) Lesson 5: Specific areas of the brain (localisation) and Penfield’s Study (Named) Lesson 6: Neuropsychology and Scanning Techniques There lessons are also available individually. I have taught each lesson myself using these powerpoints.
