I teach English Literature in the Seychelles and so follow the Cambridge specifications for iGCSE and A-level. I like to chose texts which are a little different for my students, and often this means there are initially very few pre-made resources available online. I try to focus on helping students memorise key quotes and internalise writing structures where possible; thus quotes sheets, 20 in 10s and example essay responses feature very highly in my resources.

Two lessons planned for a review of Book 1 in the novel (The Shimerdas) and an exploration of the seasons of their effect on/links to key events. The second lesson focuses around an introduction to symbolism and ties in with the previous lesson. The full PPTs include the whole lessons with objectives, worksheets, review questions, sample responses for frame-working and discussion points - all fully resourced and explained in notes for the teacher. These two lessons explores Act 4.1 and 4.2, considering the relationship between Isabella and the Duke and, duologues, the characterisation of the Duke and key quotes. Included in the lesson are worksheets, extracts, videos and full-lesson powerpoints with teacher notes. These lessons were planned for my maternity and so are slightly less interactive than my previous ones (though still detailed and fully-resourced); therefore two lessons have been included here.
