Four page worksheet covering ideas about Seismic waves. Suitable for GCSE Physics specifications. This goes slightly beyond the specification and has a challenging extension question at the end.
Teach the ideas first and use the worksheet to reinforce.
Solutions included!
Notes and questions to help students understand the different stages of star life cycles. Suitable for any sixth form Astrophysics course.
Answers included.
Worksheet covering Stefan’s Law and Wien’s Law. Also covers stella spectra and spectral classification.
Answers included. Exam Q’s and answers also included.
Suitable for the AQA Atrophysics specification.
Twelve revision lists and twelve mini tests: for retrieval practice / interleaving / end of topic.
These cover nearly all of the Paper One topics.
Each test can be marked out of ten marks.
Questions are simple and knowledge based and were written for low stakes testing. The aim for most students to be able to attain 70%-80% on each test, with fairly minimal revision time.
This aims to build up and strengthen their knowledge of key ideas and thus create more confidence before exams or more challenging assessments.
(Note: Currently does not contain a test for Molecules and Matter… watch this space)
PowerPoint and worksheet for AQA/Oxford Physics textbook section 18.3 “More about sine waves”.
Includes answers.

Two worksheets (each two or three pages long) to help students understand how to write equations for objects moving through vertical and horizontal circles. The aim to encourage the following process:
Draw a free body diagram
Write a statement for resultant force
Equate with the centripetal force equation
I would recommend preceding this by getting students to look at a couple of ‘accelerating elevator’ problems (e.g. from multiple choice exam questions), revising vertical linear motion from previous learning.
Students could follow up each worksheet with a selection of exam questions from exampro looking at related ideas.
Includes markschemes
Worksheet for an experiment to investigate the relationship between resistances and p.d.'s in a potential divider circuit.
I use these resistances:
A = 4.7 k Ohm
B = 3.3 k Ohm
C = 2.7 k Ohm
D = 0.470 k Ohm
E = 0.670 k Ohm
F = 0.470 k Ohm
Three page worksheet allowing students to practice applying the pressure formula and also converting areas between square metres and square centimetres. Questions are progressively more challenging.
Six pages of questions, starting simple and building up to extension. These questions do not apply the principle of moments so are suitable for section 8.4 of the Oxford AQA textbook.
