Poetry Anthology GCSE Revision Cards Task Power & Conflict English Literature
I created this task for the Poetry Anthology revision lesson. The learners were asked to write a short summary of each of the fifteen poems and write a short overview of the context of that poem on the back of the card. This was to refresh their knowledge in preparation of their mock exams.
Four cards per sheet.

Cut out and hide the clues around your building / classroom. The learners should be split in teams of two. They have to locate each clue which will contain an individual letter. Once they have located the clues they have to unscramble the letters which will reveal a Halloween related phrase.

Divide players into teams. Each team has sixty seconds to memorise all of the items in the box below. Players are not permitted to take a photo of the game sheet or to write any of the objects down on paper at this stage of the game. After the allocated time is up, the players will be asked to turn over their game sheets. They will then have three minutes to write down, from memory, each of the items below. The team who can memorise the most items, wins!
