They need to plan for a few minutes before writing the story. In most Cambridge proression tests, students are required to continue writing a story (beginning or context is provided). Instruction Writing - Instructional Text - Handwashing poster

Non-fiction texts are those that are true and give factual information to the reader. They are not stories. The examples of non-fiction texts are newspaper articles, adverts, biographies and texts that give instructions. Instruction texts tell the reader how to do something in steps or stages. They must be written clearly so the reader can easily understand each step to follow them. Instructions can be seen everywhere in daily life all around us - from the packaging on our favourite foods, recipe packs, and juser manuals on how to use a new machine/device, to ‘how to’ videos on the internet or social media. Use this PPT/Pdf to help your students learn about writing instructions. When you purchase and download this resource, find a freebie (Hand washing poster making task) ppt.
