A simple activity that requires children to edit speech, ensuring it is punctuated accurately to indicate direct speech. There are three differentiated activities.

A fact file about Julius Caesar that is also a reading comprehension. This includes three differentiated worksheets with 15 questions each and answers included to test children's comprehension knowledge as well as learning about Julius Caesar at the same time.

An activity for children who are below expectations that allows them to still work on relative clauses through the use of relative pronouns.

This lesson acts as an introduction/ recap of synonyms and antonyms as well as focussing on verbs. The activities will help children identify how changing verbs can create effective sentences. Included are all the resources needed for the lesson. N.B The lesson resources are titled lesson 2 as it is the secondlesson from a bigger sequence of learning.
