Algebra - SATs Questions
Previous questions from KS2 SATs papers that include algebra or can be shown algebraically for children to work through one at a time before discussing the questions as a class.
Algebra - Substitutions (Year 6 WRM)
A PowerPoint lesson that focuses on the objective of substitutions from the Year 6 WRM planning. There is an arithmetic starter included as well as a number of questions to work through (including pink and green bubbles for support and challenge) where answers can then be discussed. Finally, reasoning and problem solving tasks from WRM are included.
Addition and Subtraction Worksheet
Three pages of calculations and questions related to addition and subtraction that rise in challenge, starting with simple column addition and subtraction questions before moving to fluency, reasoning and problem solving style questions.
Converting Length Lessons - cm and mm/ cm and m
Two fully resourced lessons that focus on being able to convert between cm and mm and between cm and m. The lesson presentation focuses on a range of questions and building understanding as well as guided practise questions for children to practise what they are learning. This is followed by one of two sheets based on confidence (answers included) before a final challenge question on the lesson presentation.
Finding Fractions of Amounts Worksheets
Seven different worksheets that include questions on being able to find fractions of amounts. The worksheets are written to appeal to a range of abilities, including the use of the bar model, finding fractions of 2-digit, 3-digit and 4-digit numbers.
Most worksheets are also built to step up with children finding the unit fraction first before then finding the non-unit fraction except for the last two worksheets which are any fraction of an amount (3-digit and then 4-digit). Answers are also included for each worksheet.
Year 5 WRM - Remainders in Context Worksheet
A worksheet that focuses on the objective from Year 5 Spring White Rose Maths for Multiplication and Division for dividing and using remainders in context. Answers are also included separately.
Dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 Worksheets
Four worksheets that work on dividing by 10, 100 or 1000 where the answer involves decimal place value.
Each worksheet includes 12 questions, each with a place value grid for placing the original number in and a place value grid to then move the digits appropriately. Answers are also included separately.
Worksheets include one dividing by 10, one dividing by 100, one dividing by 1000 and a mixed sheet of all three.
Year 5 Place Value - Rounding to 100,000
A double lesson for Year 5 place value, focusing on being able to round numbers up to the nearest 100,000.
Included is a double lesson PowerPoint which starts with an arithmetic starter for each lesson (based on key Year 4 objectives they would have focused on). The first lesson then includes a number of teaching points which are then recapped as part of the second lesson.
Also included is an activity that can be used over the double lesson, alongside challenge questions for anyone who has finished. Answer sheets are included for both.
All aspects can be easily edited and adapted but can also be used as it is to deliver two lessons for the objective.

Year 5 Area - Area of Quadrilaterals Double Lesson
A fully-resourced double lesson that focuses on the objective of finding the area of quadrilaterals, with a particular focus on squares and rectangles.
Included in the resource is:
A double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary and areas to model and discuss as well as then having some guided practice for children to work through to check their understanding.
This is then followed up by an independent practice activity and challenge questions for those that finish. These are planned to run over the two lessons with the first lesson potentially taking more teaching time and the second lesson giving more time for practice and challenges. Answer sheets are included for both.
All attachments are uploaded as PowerPoints so they can be easily adapted, especially in adapting to any misconceptions or needs that arise from the first lesson.
Year 4 Addition and Subtraction - 4 digit - 4 digit Double Lesson (one exchange)
A fully-resourced double lesson aimed at the Year 4 objective based on being able to subtract using two 4-digit numbers with one exchange required.
Included is a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to an independent activity and challenge questions, with answers included for these.

Most lessons come in double lessons bar the two triple lessons where there is an introductory lesson followed by a double lesson. Each double lesson includes a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for every lesson, key vocabulary, modelling, discussion and practice before moving onto an independent activity and challenge tasks that stretch over the two lessons. Answer sheets are included for all independent activities and challenge tasks.
The single lesson at the start of triple lessons has all the same features but only has a single lesson PowerPoint.
Year 3 Addition and Subtraction - 3-digit subtraction Double Lesson (no exchanging)
A fully-resourced double lesson aimed at the Year 3 objective based on being able to subtract a 3-digit number from another where no exchanging is required e.g. 786 - 342.
Included is a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to an independent activity and challenge questions, with answers included for these.

Triangles
Three presentations that can be used to run lessons on triangles.
1) A lesson presentation used for introducing calculating the perimeter of a triangle. Included in the presentation is what perimeter is, how to calculate the perimeter of a triangle, different types of triangles, practise questions to practise calculating the perimeter of a triangle and questions that make children apply the rules they know in a slightly different way.
2) A lesson presentation used for introducing calculating the area of a triangle. Included in the presentation is what area is, how to calculate the area of a triangle, practise questions to practise calculating the area of a triangle and questions that make children apply the rules they know in a slightly different way.
3) A lesson presentation used for introducing angles in a triangle. Included in the presentation is the different types of triangles, different types of angles, total angles in a triangle and practise questions that get children to calculate the missing angle/ think about triangle properties carefully.
Year 6 Place Value Worksheets
A set of three differentiated worksheets that work on place value for Year 6 children. Having used a similar format in my own lessons, these sheets often provide enough challenge for two days lessons, with children taking on the easier work then moving on to harder challenges within the other sheets.
These have all been made with mastery in mind and so follow this pattern.
