Three different worksheets that give the chance to practise multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number using the written method. All three worksheets are set out in two ways: one where the questions are just written and children need to set them out and one where they are already set out ready. Answer sheets are also included for all 3 sheets. The first sheet focuses on multiplying the same 2-digit numbers by different 1-digit numbers to practise the method. The second sheet focuses on multiplying different 2-digit numbers by the same 1-digit number and the third sheet is a mix of different 2-digit numbers and 1-digit numbers. There is also a multiplication square attached to support if necessary.

Fifteen fully resourced lessons that complete a unit of work for Year 5 in place value. Most lessons bar the Roman Numeral lesson are double lessons, sharing the same objective and resources. The lesson sequence of the unit is as follows: Lesson 1 and 2 - Place Value up to 100,000 Lesson 3 and 4 - Compare and order numbers up to 100,000 Lesson 5 and 6 - Round numbers to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000 Lesson 7 and 8 - Place Value up to 1,000,000 Lesson 9 and 10 - Compare and order numbers up to 1,000,000 Lesson 11 and 12 - Round numbers up to the nearest 100,000 Lesson 13 and 14 - Negative numbers Lesson 15 - Roman Numerals Each double lesson includes a PowerPoint which starts with an arithmetic starter for each lesson (based on key Year 4 objectives they would have focused on).
