Ordering decimals/ sequencing numbers

(0)
Two sets of activities available within one resource. The first set of activities includes five worksheets that look at being able to order decimal numbers, beginning with simple numbers and then beginning to look more closely in detail at place value before finally moving on to negative numbers. The second set of activities includes three worksheets that looks at being able to identify a pattern and then carry on the sequence of numbers with this going through positive and negative numbers.
Mixed word problems

Mixed word problems

(0)
Four different activities full of word problems for children to complete with answers provided. Easily editable to change names to children/staff to make it more personal to your class. The first sheet is one step addition and subtraction word problems. The second sheet is two step addition and subtraction word problems. The third sheet is one step multiplication and division word problems. The fourth sheet is two step mixed problems. Provides good differentiation in a lesson for children through the four activities.
Word problems for dividing fractions

Word problems for dividing fractions

(5)
A worksheet with word problems that look at testing children on picking out key information from the question then work out the fraction they are dividing and then complete the calculation with questions getting progressively harder. Answers are included.

Mini Year 6 Maths revision booklets

(0)
Mini Maths revision booklets that I have created for my Year 6 covering topics they have looked at this half-term. The four booklets are differentiated and children can then spend the next lesson going over any errors they have made in them as well. Questions include: finding fractions and percentages, fraction/ percentage equivalents, area and perimeter, negative numbers including ordering, adding and subtracting fractions and multiplying and dividing fractions within word problems.
Fraction mats

Fraction mats

(0)
Posters/ mats that tell and show children how to calculate using fractions in a number of ways. This includes: Adding fractions with different denominators. Adding fractions with the same denominator. Dividing fractions by whole numbers. Multiplying fractions by whole numbers. Multiplying fractions together. Subtracting fractions with different denominators. Subtracting fractions with the same denominator. These will provide children with examples in front of them that help model methods and give children independence to try and calculate using fractions themselves before they need to seek adult help.

Three sets of resources combined. Various mats to help children be able to find fractions of quantities/ find the original number when given a fraction of it. These are shown through multiplying and dividing normally and through using the Singapore Bar method to help. These mats will help children work independently and give them a reference point and step by step guide to how to find fractions to try and avoid needing adult support during lessons. A range of mats that help show children through colour coded methods how to do a range of written calculations accurately. These help give children independence as they can refer to the mats to help them before they refer to an adult. Includes: Written addition Written subtraction without and with exchanging 1,2 and 3 digit multiplications and using place holders. Written division without remainders, with remainders and carrying past the decimal point. Check out my by 2 digit multiplication resource for free as an example of what they look like.

Two digit multiplication mat

This is a helpful sheet that is used to show children how to complete a three digit by two digit multiplication. Each step is colour coded to help show children what they need to do before then moving on to the next step. This helps give children independence whilst ensuring they have help if they go wrong through a step by step guide.
Multiplying fractions

Multiplying fractions

(0)
Two sets of differentiated worksheets looking at multiplying fractions. These are suitable for Year 5/6 children. The first set looks at multiplying fractions by whole numbers with this increasing in difficulty before children then have to use the inverse to work out a part of the question from the answer in the final activity. The second activity looks at multiplying fractions together with this also leading to children having to use the inverse operation in the final activity.
Maths starters

Maths starters

(1)
112 slides with 5 questions on each that act as quick oral/mental starter questions. These cover a range of topics that children in Year 5 and 6 will cover in Maths. These can be used as a quick starter for children to work through with answers then being looked at as continual mini-teaching moments. These include: Adding and subtracting fractions. Multiplying and dividing fractions. Finding fractions of quantities, Simplifying fractions and finding equivalent fractions. Using written methods for division, multiplication, addition and subtraction. Multiplying and dividing by 10,100 and 1000. Finding perimeter and area of shapes. Finding percentages of numbers. Calculating using negative numbers.
Year 6 Arithmetic tests

Year 6 Arithmetic tests

(1)
10 practise Arithmetic papers with 20 questions in each to use for practise in Year 6 ahead of the new Key Stage 2 Arithmetic assessment. These questions have been formed by using the exemplar material and other practise papers released. These have then been used to look at the type of questions that appear regularly, with these then being tested regularly throughout the various tests. It will provide children with test practise as well as regularly being able to review what children understand and what they still need to work on.
