Year 3 Addition and Subtraction - 3-digit + 2-digit Triple Lesson Bundle (carrying tens)
A triple lesson bundle for Year 3 for adding a 2-digit number to a 3-digit number that requires carrying from the tens.
Included is:
A single introductory lesson that includes:
A fully-resourced lesson aimed at an objective based on being able to add a 2-digit number to a 3-digit number where some carrying is needed.
Included is a lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to an independent activity and challenge questions, with answers included for these.
Base 10 will also be needed to support the learning as this acts as an introductory lesson which mixes between using Base 10 and modelling the written addition alongside this.
A follow-up double lesson that includes:
A fully-resourced double lesson aimed at an objective based on being able to add a 2-digit number to a 3-digit number where some carrying is needed from the tens.
Included is a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to an independent activity and challenge questions, with answers included for these.
Base 10 will also be needed to support the learning as this acts as an follow up from an introductory lesson which mixes between using Base 10 and modelling the written addition alongside this before moving on to using a purely written method.

Homophones Lesson
A fully resourced lesson that focuses on homophones whilst also briefly visiting homonyms. This lesson identifies what homophones are, getting children to define different examples of homophones as well as then deciding on which is the correct option when they are used in sentences.

Jigglypuff Reading Comprehension
Reading comprehensions related to Pokemon to try and engage children whilst also developing their comprehension skills. Included is a fact file about Jigglypuff with three differentiated sets of 10 questions with the answers included.
Christianity Lesson - Introduction to Christianity
A lesson that acts as an introduction/ recap for key parts of information that provide an overview for Christianity. This is the first lesson of six in a unit about Christianity but can also act as a stand alone lesson by itself.
Included as part of the resource is:
A lesson PowerPoint (uploaded as a PowerPoint so it can be easily edited) that includes key vocabulary, key information and questions to discuss
Activity with challenge question and answer sheet
Alternative activity that focuses solely on questions in a quiz style with a challenge and answer sheet
Second alternative activity to mind map the information
A one-page support sheet with the key information from the lesson PowerPoint that can be used as a scaffold to support pupils
The range of activities to choose from and support sheet means most pupils should be able to access the lesson through the different options.
Fractions of Amounts Multiple Choice Quiz Cards
This resource includes 300 multiple choice questions for finding fractions of amounts that can be used as quiz/ flashcards with children in a number of different ways.
There are 75 pages with 4 question cards per page. These all include finding a fraction of an amount and deciding from 3 options which often include potential misconception answers. The questions also cover a wide range of maths topics including:
Times table facts
Dividing numbers by 10
Equivalent fractions
Finding the whole
These are supplemented by ‘standard’ fraction of amount questions including unit fraction amounts and non-unit fractions. Answers are included for all questions.
These cards can be used in a number of ways including:
