A presentation for assembly or for a lesson around the hot topic of refugees. The presentation explains the difference between refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. There is also two case studies - Schindler and Calais. There are also interesting facts mainly linked to the UK about refugees statistics in 2015. Presentation on the dodo bird, which I used with my class as writing stimulus. Pupils loved learning about the funny-looking bird and its interesting history. Powerpoint contains information on: history, extinction, fun facts and dodos in the media. There is also a word list included with ambitious vocabulary. I used this presentation for: information leaflets, story writing, poems and a tourist brochure on Mauritius.
