Hi! I currently work in London as a Deputy Headteacher. I love all things teaching and learning! I am extremely passionate about education and find researching and creating new strategies and ideas exciting. The world of teaching and leading in England is highly stressful and it's up to all of us to look after each other's well-being...I hope my resources save you some precious time.

Cut and stick metals into one group and plastics into another. Simple activity to use early on in the Materials topic to help distinguish between different materials. Good for discussion and introducing new vocab.
Perfect resource for an assembly or lesson.
14 slides, which cover:
-What an election is.

I have aimed the resource at Y5-Y8 but the presentation can easily be adapted to suit younger or older years. I have previously found introducing politics to younger years, has worked well and created curiosity around the subject.
All of the Phase 2 sounds - one per slide. A fabulous resource for recapping sounds and initiating speaking. Each sound has two slides. On the second slide there are three images linking to the picture. This resource supports vocabulary building.
Fun group signs with a table points chart for each and mini labels, which can be used to stick on pupils' books or as tokens in a behaviour management strategy. Save yourself some time preparing for a new year!
I cut these signs out, double-backed and laminated them and then hung them from the ceiling above the group's table. They could just as easily be stuck onto the wall or table.

69 word flashcards covering all sounds from Phase 2 in Letters and Sounds. Cut out and laminate the sounds and you have a great, durable set of words to complement the teaching of phonics.
These word flashcards can be used for so many things. They can be used in the teaching of phonics but can also be given to pupils to work independently on many different activities. There are 3 words for each sound and the sound is highlighted in green. Most words are CVC and easy to sound out so that they can be accessed by pupils independently. Also a super resource to aid phonic interventions.
One key element in the teaching of phonics is to revisit previous sounds taught - using these flashcards is a great way to do just that! Lots of games can be played using flashcards, including, 'your pile, my pile'.
Any questions, please just ask! And please check out my other resources...
