A great lesson for EYFS and / or KS1. Very suitable too, for SEN pupils with differentiated activities included. The PPT shows 10 slides with 3 pictures on each. Children name the pictures and more able pupils can spell or say the initial sounds. Click and the words will appear. There is a word sheet with all 30 words that children could hold during the PPT and locate the words to go with the pictures, or use to support their writing later. There is a sheet showing just the 30 pictures that children could use to find the pictures as they appear. Later, they could match the words and pictures. There are also sheets showing words and pictures; pictures with initial sounds and pictures with space for children to write the words. Here is an activity idea where children draw around their feet and hands, decorate them and sequence in size along with the other childrens’ hands and feet in class. There is a sheet saying what you need and an explanation of what to do and extension ideas. Included are hand and feet template for extra activities. Here are shelves of 24 jars full of different objects and materials. Children label the jars or add a number to each jar and make a list of what is in each jar. There is a blank template included for children to fill their own jars and label. Extend this activity by collecting plastic sweet jars or containers and filling them with different collage materials or classroom equipment. Children can make labels for these. 2 sets of alphabet flashcards. One with lower case letters and one with corresponding capital letters. Cut and laminate and children can match up the lower and upper case letters, match to objects, say the sounds, order the alphabet, find the vowels, copy the letter shapes and so much more. A handy resource for those moments to fill, wet plays or early finishers too.

3 activities with a nature /plants theme using colour and pattern. 5 pairs of coloured flowers for children to cut out and match /find the flowers the same. 10 flowers - children can colour these in to make them all different or make matching pairs. Enlarge and use with different media such as paint and thin brushes. Children choose 3 colours and colour in the large flower. Their task is then to make each of the 6 flowers different using the same 3 colours.

6 colour old fashioned vehicle cards with matching cards in black and white to colour in or match. Duplicate, cut and laminate for matching games.

Here are 6 animals with examples of word art for each one: Dolphin Frog Cat Dog Frog Tiger Children can use the examples to stimulate their imagination and then draw their own designs and decorate.

A colouring sheet showing 14 different animals, is a nice start to this activity. Next, children can write a sentence about each animal. There is a sheet for them to write the animal names and / or draw them and an initial sound sheet.
