Manufacturing specification writing frame and worksheet
Based on making a pencil case but can easily be adapted.
Year 9 Textiles assessment
Based on surface decoration techniques: machine embroidery, applique and reverse applique. Includes a student revision sheet, an assessment with answers and a test grade conversion for the 9 to 1 grading system. Assessment, answers and conversions are all Microsoft publisher documents.
Reverse applique knowledge organiser
Allows the students to understand what is reverse applique, the different variations and the history behind it. Used within a whole class discussion and as a resource for the students to independently use during the practical lesson.
Applique knowledge organiser
To aid students in gaining the knowledge about the technique of Applique in Textiles. Can be used for any year group.
Tie Dye knowledge organiser
Students are presented with research on the technique of Tie Dye and also introduced to tie dye from around the world.
Knowledge organiser - Hand embroidery
Students understand the concept of hand embroidery and the origins of the technique as well as linking to other curriculum areas such as Geography and History. Can be used with links to literacy as it can be read out loud independently by the students and can develop deeper classroom discussions.

Students use the writing frame to evaluate their final product. Worksheet included.
Customer profile worksheet and differentiated writing frame
Students describe and explain who their chosen customer is based on their product.
Plenary dice challenge
Students throw the dice twice, once to get the number for the bottom row and then a second number to get the side row. They then use the two numbers to gain the correct question or task. Has been successfully used at the end of the lesson and the students enjoy using the dice.
Year 7 Textiles assessment
Based on natural fibres, synthetic fibres and fabric construction. Pack includes a revision sheet for the students, an assessment (30 marks total), answer sheet and a test grade conversion chart based on the 9-1 grading system. Assessment, answers and conversions are all Microsoft publisher documents.
Graffiti Art knowledge organiser - Artist Zephyr
Students can use this resource to gain knowledge about the graffiti artist Zephyr.
Knowledge organiser - Colour wheel
Used in Art to support key stage 3 in learning the basics of the colour wheel. Students have the opportunity to read out loud in lesson supporting literacy and also use it as an aid whilst working independently.
Cover work Art Day of the Dead
Based on the theme Day of the Dead cover work for key stage 3. Two worksheets based around skulls and guitars. Students can work independently from the inspiration sheets provided. Skills include composition and tonal shading/blending.
Textiles equipment display
Can be easily adapted to include more textiles equipment. Currently have them up on display in my classroom and are proving effective in the students remembering the correct terminology.

Template used to create textiles news for students and can be adapted easily to change in order of whats present in the news.
Painting tips match up exercise
Can be used as a starter or plenary to test the students knowledge on two types of painting techniques. Answers are provided on next slide.
