A comic strip I created when reading the book Supertato. I have put this in our writing area for children to independently write speech for each of the characters.
This is the Development Matters Document on one page. I have used the statements from 3-4 years olds, children in reception and then the ELG in different colours. I stick this page into the back of my learning journeys and use these as a reference point.
This is a double sided leaflet we give out to parents at the start of the school year to help explain how we teach literacy in the early years and provides examples of activities they can do at home to support their child.

This is a long term planning document for the continuous provision, including Creative Area, Construction Area, Outside Area, Role Play Area, Sand Area, Water Area and a Book, ICT and Listening Area.
I’ve created a separate document for each area & linked the 30-50, 40-60 & ELG objectives to the area. Each document details the permanent resources that will be kept in each area (which you can then edit to suit your setting), the possible experiences that can be created in the areas, and the the role of the adult with links to the EYFS - Unique Child, Enabling Environments, Positive Relationships and Learning and Development.

This PDF includes 3 differentiated worksheets. Children read the Phase 3 words and choose whether it is or isn’t a real word. Children can either draw a line from the speech bubbles to the alien (non-real word) or the astronaut (real word). Alternatively, teachers can cut the words and characters out and children can move the speech bubbles to the correct characters.
This PDF includes 3 different pages, differentiated to three levels of phase 3 phonics. Children say the word by looking at the picture, then draw a line to join the sounds, then write the word in the phoneme frames.
