A comic strip I created when reading the book Supertato. I have put this in our writing area for children to independently write speech for each of the characters.

Easter Eggs with Phase 2 and 3 decodable words on, and differentiated checklists for children to use on their hunt. Read the word on the eggs and tick off the corresponding picture on their checklist.

This PDF includes 3 differentiated worksheets. Children read the Phase 3 words and choose whether it is or isn’t a real word. Children can either draw a line from the speech bubbles to the alien (non-real word) or the astronaut (real word). Alternatively, teachers can cut the words and characters out and children can move the speech bubbles to the correct characters.

This PDF includes 3 different pages, differentiated to three levels of phase 3 phonics. Children say the word by looking at the picture, then draw a line to join the sounds, then write the word in the phoneme frames.
