I made this resource for my low ability careers group but it can be adapted for more able students. KS2/3 Students match the job descriptions with the job images. Writing frames included. Suitable for SEN. For HA students could take descriptions out of the writing frame and get them to write their own.

PowerPoint activity I used this resource for my AQA Step up to English lesson whilst studying The Railway Children but it can be adapted to fit any book or text. For the purpose of this activity students read chapter 6 of the book and were then asked to create a comic strip detailing what happened during the chapter using onomatopoeia words and sequencing events. This activity is to get students thinking about their summer and what they would like to do/ recounting their summer. This writing mat is perfect for laminating so students can use wipe board pens and improve their literacy skills. This works really well with SEN students who need visual support to help develop their writing. You can then photocopy the mat or get students to write out neatly in their books.
