I have been teaching GCSE Physics for 10 years and A level for 5 years. My resources range form KS3, GSCE all the way up to A level. I have developed a range of worksheets, revision mats and presentations that closely follow up to date specifications . Most include worked examples and stick closely to the lesson targets throughout. Lesson targets are repeated throughout. Homework tasks are often included and build upon previous lessons work to revise. Big emphasis on memorising equations.

This is a PowerPoint for a KS3 class. It has details of a practical and resources required. Pupils make their own lenses and then work through how to find the focal length of a lens themselves. There are plenty of opportunities to expand for higher ability differentiation. Could ask pupils to draw their own ray diagrams and use write sentences with key words such as converging and diverging. I have tried it out with my year 13 and it brought up many talking points and covered all the spec requirements well. Font 24 at least, diagrams and charts throughout. Lesson Targets Be able to identify similarities and differences between water, light and sound waves. Be able to use the word superposition in a sentence which explains how waves move Starter- Name as many thing that travel in waves, WATER, LIGHT , SOUND ,ANY EM WAVES Main- Demonstrations, writing task. Pupils must make notes of on the similarities and differences between light and sound waves. Complete the summary task on slide 9. must be done on a separate sheet of paper to take home. Watch the demonstration on superposition in the ripple tank and video clip of what it looks like in the sea Plenary- Complete writing task, pupils are to explain what superposition is using a selection of words Hwk-Take summary task sheets home and revise it for a test next lesson. Slide 9 should have been completed on paper to take home with them.
