Mathjitsu is a concept I created for my class to help them learn their times tables. I have tweaked the order in which children learn their times tables to follow the Shanghai Method, making it easier to recognise relationships between times table facts. This resource includes nine 'band assessments' (comprehensively assessing 10, 5, 2, 4, 8, 3, 6, 9 and 7 times tables and all related facts, including division facts) eight coloured bands, to help children learn the next times table, a progress tracker sheet and instructions.

This is a free sound bingo/ lotto game. To be used alongside a video, which can be found on my YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/misterteach The aim of the game is to place counters (not included) on each animal as its sound is played on the video. This resource is to be used in alongside the ‘Dear Zoo’ Listening game video (Zoo Animal Sounds Listening Game - Phase 1 Phonics) that can be found on my YouTube channel www.youtube.com/misterteach. This is a 'Top Trumps' style game I created to help my daughter to recognise and compare numbers 0-100. (She absolutely loves it!) The game itself features 24 cards, each displaying a different Minecraft 'mob' and four categories. Mobs are weird and wonderful creatures that can be found in the game. Some are very dangerous, like the infamous Creeper and some are not so dangerous. I also made a Minecraft video featuring a battle arena. These 0-10 posters were created to help children recognise numbers in many different forms .

This resource features all Phase 2 letter shapes (graphemes), with accompanying pictures. They can be printed, folded in half and laminated for daily PGC work or simply displayed as they are.

Use these word towers on tables. Print out and trim the left edge to the line. Laminate and fold along the line joining each column. Tape along to join. They will then stand freely on desks.

This resource is a powerpoint presentations and revises all phase 2 graphemes plus set 6. It also features the graphemes y, z/zz, qu in greater detail along with tricky words and words to blend. Can you find all ways of making an area of 24? You could think outside the box and combine several rectangles to make an area of 24, perhaps as a compound shape... This resource works really well alongside my area video, which can be found on my 'Mister Teach' YouTube channel, and is also Minecraft themed. I hope you find it useful. My children find Minecraft very engaging!
