This is a revision activity where children will read the word and identify the group it belongs to. For an extension task, children could write headings in their jotters and write the words in the correct columns. I’ve uploaded the resource in PDF format, as a word document (sassooninfant font), and also in a flipchart, so everything is good to go for you.

Spelling scribble for common/tricky/phoneme words

Inspired by The Phonics Family post, I made the web game to suit the ALP common words. It requires milk or water bottle lids - children take it in turns to flip their counter onto the web, then they read the word it lands nearest, and colour it in. It could be adapted for a larger tuff tray activity.
