Unit of work based around coasts, giving opportunities for atlas skills as well as ICT. Opportunities for cross curriular writing throughout with main persuasive writing piece at end of unit.
6 Lesson unit based around the big question ‘Is their life after death?’
Powerpoints for every lesson included, aswell as any appropriate resources. Medium term plan included with detailed explanations and questioning, as well as links to resources.
Complete unit for Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, 4 weeks worth of planning including 1 powerpoint for each week, any resources as well as detailed planning.
Text types include: Letter, Diary, Explanation, Newspaper, Narrative.
Each powerpoint has a picture based starter activity where children need to answer literal and inferential questions on whiteboard.
Each lesson is based on a writing outcome and the unit covers a variety of different text types, all based around the one video stimulus.
