This sheet worked really well with my year 11 students. The idea is that they will revise each device and then in the exam they will find these things easier to spot.

Some visual cutouts to make a display based on Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I put this up on a blue background with white at the bottom to represent snow. I then put black borders over it to make it look like a window looking out. Make this even better with gold wrappers from chocolate coins to represent Scrooge's counting house.

This presentation helped me to secure an 'outstanding' judgement in my lesson observation. The presentation is set up to allow students to explore juxtaposition and pathetic fallacy in an extract. The entire lesson focuses on AO2 - Language, Structure and Form. The lesson is set up for group work activities.
